FS: '73 914 2L - $9,500 obo
Exterior restoration just completed on this very stock '73 2L car. Just repainted in L97D silver over the original paint (exterior and door jams only). Wheels refinished to stock by Al Reed w/new 195/65/15 tires. Rechromed bumpers, w/new tops, almost all weatherstripping replaced, new fog light grills, restored fog lights, new dash, new windshield & molding, new sail panel vinyl and moulding & much more. What little rust that did exist was treated with POR15. The original interior was already almost mint. The speedo was just rebuilt and all the other gauges except the console temp gauge were replaced with NOS ones. New rear calipers, rebuilt trans. Runs great. 99,xxx mostly documented original miles. ya, sure I remember! The six is a really nice, original survivor. It even has the original radio and the leather strap holding the footrest to the lower speaker mounting hole. You could eat a bowl of cereal out of the normally rusted out "hell-hole". That's how rust free this car is. I'm really not sure if I even want to sell it, but for 30k, I'd have to consider it. I'll email you my home phone and you can come out to Riverside and take a look at it.

I also forgot to mention this car has new outside door handles and the entire car was rekeyed to be like it was when it came from Germany. I have a new red key that works the doors and ignition only and a new black key that works all the locks. Need to sell to help fund new project!

It's surface rust that I have not treated yet. I'll get to it if/when I remove the engine. There is a small hole there as well, about the size of a quarter. The fuel pump is still mounted on the metal underneath though and the metal there is still quite solid.

Glenn, could you tell me about the mechanical facts on your car, gearbox, engine ,brakes, suspension etc. Where else is there rust? How long have you had the car.Thanks Geoff.[I am in OZ but can ship out of Long Beach.]

well, no deposit, so no sale. Still available. Just installed a new speedo angle drive, tranny mounts and a rebuilt starter. I also just treated the rust under the battery tray. I'll post pics of both sides of the "hell hole" soon.
