Question Buzzing noise from glove box area.

This morning, I noticed some buzzing noise came from the glove box area in my S2. It is not loud but definitely noticeable. Car runs fine but I am wondering whether this means my DME or Airbag unit is going bad. Anyone has similar problem?

Thanks.

George

i had the same buzzing that seemed to come from the glove box about a year ago. intermittent, lasted a couple of weeks, and went away. weird, eh?

if i'm not mistaken there is a little hole on the l/h side of the glove box with a tube connected to it inwhich a tiny fan draws air across a temp sensor which regulates the air coming out of your vents to what you selected on the controller. If it gets dirty with lint or other junk it will make the temp control servos hunt back and forth since its not giving it the correct reading. i had the same problem cleaned the sensor and all is well, plus the temp control system work alot better.
