Feeler: FS: GT3 wheels 8's and 11's

EDIT: not a "feeler" anymore, these are for sale. See post #11 for better pictures. Thanks!

see posts below, apparently not truly GT3 offsets and widths, my mistake. They are just the same style, but not true GT3.

I'm thinking of going w/ a set of different wheels, wondering what I could sell these for. They are OEM 996 C4S and possibly turbo (but have C4S caps) wheels w/ Potenza SO2-A tires, guessing at least half the life left. Two have a little curb rash. These are the same offsets as the common 996 turbo twist hollowspokes, 8x18 ET 50 and 11x18 ET 45. Would ask $2k to entice me to get the other set. I haven't seen another set of these for sale so I don't know if I'm even in the right ballpark.

I would post on Rennlist, pretty active 996/GT3 crowd over there. I see people looking for these all the time for there regular 996.

I have a friend "KenB", who needs a set. However real Porsche OEM 996 GT3 wheels are 8.5" front with 40mm offset, and rear 11" with a 63mm offset. Your offsets and front widths are different. Are yours really GT3 wheels, or maybe aftermarket replicas for wide body cars? TIA

Interesting. They do look legit in the other thread with those photos. Made in Italy is correct for many OE Porsche wheels. OK just looked them up, they are a factory C4S and maybe Turbo wheel. Not GT3, but definitely legit factory wheels. While we can't use 'em, I think your price is reasonable. Best luck.

Yes, they are not GT3 offsets. They are from a 996 C4S. Won't work for us, we would have to cut into the steel fenders and put on plastic flares like the GT3RSR. And then the fronts are no good because they AREN'T that way, just the rears.

No worries, it appears you had the widths and offsets stated correctly from the start.

Man, I would rock those if the cash was handy. I would have to unload my Fuchs 8's and 10's first.

All four are 16". The rears were made by Gary Stratton (Sonjay). The fronts are OEM 8's. PM me if you have questions so we don't keep hijacking this thread.
