Are you sure on the prices you are being charged for your tyres?
On a quick calculation with exchange rates your price is $540 - per rear tyre - I had a new Dunlop rear fitted on Saturday for $249 Rough calculation backwards = 83 english pounds !!!!!! Change suppliers mate Mark |

I was impressed with the sheer volume of recorded information nonetheless.

What about the cost of fuel? For those miles it would be a subsantial amount.
Any speeding fines? What about depreciation? Sure is amazing how the costs quickly add up. Like any vehicle if you were to think about the real costs you may think twice before purchasing it Cheers TREVOR ps-What sort of **** would steal your rocker cover?

Hi,
Sorry by "Knocked off" I mean someone knocked me off the bike, by T - boning the bike at a T junction funnily enough. The tyre prices are correct, roughly speaking I've been getting them for £240 fitted for front AND rear. At a dealership that could be anything up to £330 pounds. I think a rear is about £99 - £120 depending on manufacturer, so it's not far of your reverse translation. Oh, I forgot insurance call it £1500 for the 3.5 years, I could be more accurate but I can't be arse looking it up. Fuel; I reckoned on 10 miles a litre with the average litre price of 66 pence (I think its about 77p now, can't remember what it was in 1999), call it £5000. Plus road tax, I think its about £60 a year, lets say £200. I also forgot Superchips, which I think was about £100. That makes...... £29,149 or 38.5 pence a mile. (75,900 miles) Adrian |

You forgot that you still have an S left after paying all that, so not everything is lost.
