92 911 C2 quick sale beware

Some of you might have seen the cobalt blue C2 for sale last week. carrera32911 advertised here for his long time friend. I was the first to reply and bought the car on his word. I committed the funds, arranged shipping and have a ticket to fly to Arizona to seal the deal. After waiting nearly a week to get the title in the owners hand, I contacted him on Monday and he informed me that after he committed to sell the car to me for his full asking price, he had others call and offer more for the car. Mind you that I had a deal with him an hour after he posted the car for sale. He now says that if none of the other guys that offered more than his asking price come through, I can still have a chance to buy the car. I told him I would pass and good luck with the sale. Any opinions on the way this went down are appreciated.
