STOLEN! HELP! NOS 914 Front Clip...

A not so very nice individual felt that he could just appropriate someone else's personal property by simply stealing it and hauling it away as his own. What a jerk! We need your collective help...

My friend owns a Porsche repair shop in the city of Torrance located here in Southern California where his NOS 914 front clip was sitting outside his shop (see photos below). A few months ago, someone helped himself to the front-clip and it dissappeared. Since my friend does not like to email nor does he frequents the internet, I offered to help him locate this valuable piece.

If you or someone you know has any information to the whereabouts of this front clip, or if you know the body shop that may be involved in the installation of this clip, please contact me at ajserrano@msn.com - All leads will remain confidential.

We appreciate all your potential leads and informaation. Happy New Years! Armando ajserrano@msn.com

NOTE:
To the person(s) responsible who stole this part. Please return it to the same location you stole the part from and we will consider this matter closed. If you don't, rest assured I will post to all the Porsche related websites as well as contacting every shop possible. Eventually, a mistake will be made and you can potentially be caught. Why take chances?

Please note that this is a NOS front clip and is does NOT have a chassis serial number stamped (see photo below).
There are very few of these front clips around and fewer the places that can do a good job at grafting it in place.
The thief with a damaged 914 front-end 'may' be looking for a shop that has a 'Celette' chassis jig...

Any information leading to the location or individual(s) responsible for the stolen goods would be appreciated.

You don't have to leave your name and it will remain confidential. You can leave your post here or directly by visiting my website at http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/9146_gt_factory_technical_parts_photos_oddball_stu ff_front_clip - an simply enter your name as a 'guest' (see the first sample post).
