FS: 2.2 Bosch Distributor
this is from my '70 2.2T longblock that i have decided to part out. distributor worked fine before 2.7 engine swap. part info: 0 231 184 001 JFUD 6. includes cap, rotor, points - everything in pic. $85 OBO + $6 shipping.
ebay feedback: tilton101 paypal, MOs, personal cks welcomed. can only ship on the weekend due to insane hours at work.

How can I check to see if the distributor in my '71 2.2 is a Bosch unit or the original unit? If mine's original then I'll take yours.

Kaefer,
it will say Bosch on the unit with the part number. i would double ck to see if the part that i have here is original to a 2.2T. i assume that it is but you never know with a 35 year old engine. does anybody know if this is an original distributor to the 2.2T? |

that unit used to have the larger shaft and cast hold-down. the hold-down was removed and the shaft machined down to fit an early engine. that's a good thing. hard to find the early bosch units now, so this is the best way to get rid of the marelli.
