19 Early 911s/912s for Sale for $250K...

Interesting collection. Not worth $250K, but interesting to see what people have collected over the years:

This is definitely the same group of cars from that nut in Wyoming! Looks like somebody finally gave him a big enough chunk of cash to get his entire collection. I know a guy who made a special trip out to WY and he still wouldn't actually sell anything!

Who pulls it off? None other than hbrand of Florida...famous purveyor of fine VIN cut-outs and "restored" 911s:

http://www.early911sregistry.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17094

The pics on his site are the same old dusty pics the Wyoming nut would always post but never follow through with any sales. Does hbrand have these cars in Florida, or is he just acting as an agent for the guy in Wyoming? My guess is the latter.

Will be interesting to see how this turns out. I think the $250K is dream pricing...thats $13,000+ apiece!

wow fine example of greed....seems theres a underworld in the long hood world that is downright based on greed...It's hard to understand why the dirtbags who create fake 911s for greed stay in business

I posted over in the "market" forum because I wasn't sure this was the right place but I'm glad Wayne brought it up here as more Pelicans seem to frequent this board. Many of us remember the Wyoming "seller who never did" and I believe he was banned too. It will be interesting how this plays out. I hope as many eyes as possible follow this transaction and report back to the board.

I'm subscribed!

It is sad, that such a good BBS is full of people who think they know it all, judge others without knowing the facts or the people they judge. Statements like "the Nut from Wyoming" and "purveyor of fine VIN cut-outs" etc. are only destructive and show that the people who post those kind of accusations
have a very low I.Q. Just like a wild MOB hanging someone without proof.

Concerning the cars in Wyoming: I did take 3 days off work and inspected the cars and made 300 pictures. Most others on this board just TALK about those cars and never have seen them nor the owner. I feel sorry for you guys, since you seem to have a very frustrated live and your frustration reflects in your stupid posts. Get a live.

And on judgment day, I have nothing to fear, I slender nobody and don' take advantage of people.

So now go on, spread more gossip and lies If that makes you feel better.

And thanks to the people who post with respect and good advice.

Harold,

I, for one, am glad one of the principals in this matter has replied.

My interest lies in finding out if the Wyoming cars actually leave the seller's barn due to the past history of said seller. You, for one, can supply that information, if you choose, when either a sale is made or the cars arrive at your place of business. You certainly don't have to say anything, but those cars have been waved in front of the Porsche community on several different forums for a long time with no sales taking place. Many of us are just wondering if they are finally, really, on the market.

Well, thats fab and everything. I guess what is unclear is if you now own the cars that you are advertising or are just consigning them.

Over the past couple of years before he was banned (the first time) I tried to buy 2 different cars and several parts from whatever the F$$$ his real name is in Wyoming. He got me worked up, strung out and then bam, no happy endings. I should have learned my lesson after the first time I know.

So, what is your guarantee that the cars are actually for sale? Do you hold the titles for them? WHo gets paid and how will you insure the bought cars actually end up in the buyers hands?

Once a deal has been worked out, I will have to go there again, complete the cars, make the ready for transport, get the papers in order and pay for cars. No easy way but effective.

Sounds to me like you are acting as an agent and do not have the titles nor cars in hand. Given the history of the Wyoming seller, I will appreciate your continued input when you actually go to follow through on a sale(s) to see if the cars really leave the barn.

Didn't you have an EBay auction for these cars as well??????

Do you have a consignment agreement in hand or just some verbal? Usually a consignee holds the titles no? Have you even checked that the papers are in order for all the cars???? This sounds like a major Cluster F.

What does this mean? Complete the cars?

Dust them off and fill the tires with air?

I would suggest that when YOU "get the papers in order", it is done in better fashion and detail than your grammar and writing. MORE EFFECTIVE

i use to own silver vin #9113102018 73t. i sold it to him last year. he came across county in a old dodge truck and a trailer that i would never trust using to go across town. handed me cash, drove the car on the trailer and headed back.he owns alot of property and most of the cars are in a old warehouse. i can call him to find out more. he seemed to be just a regular down to earth guy. he might be flakey but has alot of cars. not just porsches......

As for my previous comments...the thread about the VIN cutout and the flaky car sales from the Wyoming guy are more than enough proof to back them up, regardless of my IQ. Perhaps you and the Wyoming nut were meant for each other.

Anything along the lines of an hbrand post is going to bring back memories of a "sport seat" thread. That was the biggest pile of BS I've ever seen here except for maybe a 165 MPH 2.4 Targa (and some people supported that as true, some well respected people). But seat thing was a fishing expedition, IIRC, with a dealer acting as someone ignorant of anything Porsche.

That stuff just doesn't fly here too well. So, Harold, before you get your panties in a bunch, do remember how you've come across in the past. The Internet has made the world a very small place, indeed.

this has all the earmarks of 40 miles of bad road!

we cavemen in our little ol cave ...........while we were on the LOOSE one day............heard about this wyoming deal (?) from a friend of a friends uncle, who knew this guy who knew this other guy, who knew a cop, who knew this chick, and this chick had a friend.......blah blah.

since az. is such a transient state for some, and the fact of all the cars stolen here, ARIZONA DEPT of Transportation has gotten real real real REAL NASTY. in regard to homebuilt vehicles, salvage titles, vehicles coming from mexico, out of state, etc. also because of the unreal amount of chopshops around the SW! and across the border.

in other words..........everything better match with paper following and it better pass smog unless its a collectible/insured car. lots of cars getting confiscated by ADOT because of the above. VIN numbers welded in place is dead giveaway for a REALLY LONG DAY with ADOT and DPS being called that moment. now how do i know this you ask? a friend of mine has worked for ADOT MVD all of his life. we get to hear the stories. and some of them are real interesting.

word to the wise after a couple of e-bay debacles involving bikes/vehicles. plan on visiting with vehicle and having a nice sit down chat with it, if you want it bad enough you'll fly there. talk with it, and make sure the VIN and the TITLE match.

AND UNDERSTAND ABOUT PHOTOSHOPPED PICTURES! ie. what you see.......AINT WHAT YER GONNA GET!

BEEN THERE DONE THIS and learned my lesson!
