FS 1988 Carrera
For sale is a 1988 Carrera with 118,750 miles on the odometer. The engine pulls strong through all gears, and drips absolutely no oil. Shifts like butter. It has never not started, or left me stranded, or done anything other than drive. The body is in good condition, with no rust except a small (quarter-size) spot I’ve just discovered underneath the door trim. Seats and interior in the condition you expect from a well-maintained 20-year-old car.
I’ve owned the car since 2003 and have driven it for about 40k miles. In 2007 I drove the car to L.A., and back to Chicago in the summer of 2008. No, zero, silch problems. Since then I’ve realized that I’m better off taking the train to work, and have really no need for a car in the city. It has been sitting in the garage for a couple of months now, with only occasional trips. I feel this car should be driven more frequently, and am reluctantly putting it up for sale. This ends by far the most satisfactory relationship I have ever had with something I paid money for. Aside from regular and careful maintenance, the car has had some work done in the last 5 years, notably the following: Main fuel line (2003) New alternator (2004) Clutch update to spring-centered clutch (2005) New axles (2005) New sunroof motor and lining (2006) New head sensors, new DME (not just the relay!) 2007 Inner trailing arm bushings, rear wheel bearings, rear brake rotors (2008). What doesn’t work: A/C, front blower motor, clock. Except for the Momo steering wheel and the new stereo, the car is stock. It has been at a few DEs, but my racing career was tragically cut short when I overheard a fellow ‘racer’ saying that I drive like his grandmother. Haven’t been back to the track since. Speaking of which, the car (and its owner) is well known to a variety of shady characters on this board, including KTL Spider, einreb, Jay, Souk, and Christ Streit. Of course they are not responsible for my claims, but they would testify, after a few Guinness, that this is a legit and tight car. The last two repairs were done at TRE Motorsports in L.A., where Jeremy went over the car with a fine-toothed comb. $15,000. 312-906-9759 or mullersieversATgmailDOTcom for more info and pics. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hi everyone,
I've just had a bicycle accident and am in the hospital with a few fractured ribs and a broken clavicle. I will respond to your inquiries as soon as I get better.

I'm still in the hospital. I can answer inquiries per email, but pics and tire-kicking will have to wait until I'm out, perhaps by the end of the week. Don't think I'm a push-over just because I'm invalid!!

Here are a few more pics. In the first you can see the little rust spot underneath the rubber trim:
