1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa

Factory Options
Sport package:
- Full black leather interior with sport seats
- Sport steering wheel with extended hub
- Sport suspension
- Limited Slip Differential in G50 gearbox

Engine:
- Top end rebuild at around 110,000 miles
- Engine is stock. I have only used Brad Penn 20w50 motor oil.
- Exhaust consists of stock HE’s with a brand new M&K euro 321 stainless steel premuffler, and a custom sport muffler with GT3-style outlets. A standard stainless steel muffler and stock valance are included with the car.

Transmission:
- New clutch at around 110,000 miles. Current clutch engages very nicely.
- No weak synchros, it shifts wonderfully.
- Factory limited slip differential.

Body:
- Rare special order color, Diamond Blue Metallic. Pictures do not do it justice!
- Car has no rear rust to speak of other than one very small hole in the driver’s side outer rocker panel (underneath the rocker trim). It was a small bubble, so I investigated and found a small hole. Everything else underneath is in perfect condition.
- The car has a minor accident in it’s history, evidenced by a repaint of the driver’s front fender. The paint match is very good, however there is a little bit of orange peel in the clear that could be buffed out.
- Factory front and rear spoilers.
- Targa top is in very good condition, does not leak

Interior:
- Full black leather interior.
- Sport seats are in good condition with just a couple minor flaws and seams separating, but very comfortable and usable as is.
- Dash is perfect with no cracks or warping.
- Carpet, rear seats, and all other interior panels are in great shape.
- Newer Sony in-dash Bluetooth capable CD receiver with infinity speakers in standard door openings and brand new soundstream speakers in the rear window. Original blaupunkt stereo is included with the car.



Miscellaneous:
- Original space saver spare, full tool kit, jack, and all manuals are included with the car along with numerous receipts and records.
- Most A/C components have been removed except the evaporator in the smuggler’s box and a couple lines, however all parts were carefully removed and will be included with the car. As such the A/C could easily be re-installed on the car.

Upgrades:
- June – July 2008
o New front strut brace installed.
o Steve Wong chip installed in DME
o New DME relay installed (precautionary)
o New Hankook RS-2 tires installed on stock fuchs wheels: 205/55ZR16 front and 225/50ZR16 rear.
- August-September 2008
o Koni Sport Adjustable shocks installed front and rear.
o Custom sport muffler with GT3-style outlets installed.
o New OEM front brake rotors installed. Hubs inspected and regreased.
- October 2008-February 2009
o New H4 headlamps installed with relay kit and upgraded 12 gauge wiring with HD ceramic plugs and high output bulbs.
o M&K 321 stainless steel euro premuffler installed.
o 16x8 fuchs wheel refinished and installed on the rear of the car with brand new 245/45ZR16 Hankook RS-2 tires. 205/55ZR16 Hankook RS-2 tires mounted on 16x7 fuchs and installed on front of car.
- March-April, 2009
o 22mm solid front torsion bars installed. (stock tb’s included w/ car)
o A-arms removed, refinished and installed with brand new Elephant Racing polybronze bushings.
o Brand new lemforder ball joints and hardware installed.
o Front wheel bearings inspected and regreased.
o Steering rack removed, inspected and regreased.
o Steering rack spacers installed along with new boots, and brand new Lemforder turbo tie rods.
o 29mm solid rear torsion bars installed. (stock tb’s included w/ car)
o Rear OEM spring plates refinished/modified for height adjustment similar to sway-a-way plates, but with OEM locking bolt.
o New neatrix rubber rear spring plate bushings installed.
o New OEM spring plate covers installed
o Ride height adjusted to ½” below euro ride height. Car received professional 4-wheel alignment by a local shop with Porsche expertise subsequent to suspension installation.



I have spent thousands of dollars on selective upgrades to this car since I purchased it in June 2008, to get it just the way I wanted it. The car actually rides better with the suspension upgrades and larger torsion bars than it did with the old suspension and stock torsion bars. It may sound cliché, but I really would not hesitate to jump in this car and drive it anywhere. It has been extremely reliable and an absolute joy to own.
I sincerely regret putting the car up for sale, but with a baby on the way and other financial issues to consider I feel it is the right thing to do at this point in time.
You would be extremely hard pressed to find another G-50 911 with these options, in this color, and with the top-of-the-line upgrades that this car has for my asking price. I am asking $19,500, and again the price will include any stock items that have been removed from the car, carefully boxed up should a future owner want to install them. I will post pictures as soon as I have an opportunity to take some updated pictures reflecting the car’s current condition and equipment. I am more than willing to accommodate PPI’s by any prospective buyer at their request and their expense.

For some reason I'm having issues trying to resize my pics, so here are a couple while I work on sorting out the issue. Please note the car will come with the original steering wheel installed, not the momo currently in the car. Also, I do have the original alloy lug nuts. The "discoloration on the door panel carpet is just a strange effect from the flash on the camera, there is no discoloraton. One last note, I forgot to include that the current mileage on the car as of today is 139,142. Thanks!
