Question Christmas Fun-Run for Victorians?

Hi,

How about organising a Christmas fun-run for Victorian pelicanites?

I'm not talking about actual Christmas day, but maybe a couple of weeks before that, sometime in December on a weekend. A nice cruise around some country roads - it should be good fun.

The weekend of December 6th/7th is out for me, but any other time should be sweet... as long as it's a Sunday!

When do you get your car back? If you've already got it back, how's it drive?

Not back yet. I'm putting on a Zender kit, that's going take at least 1 to 2 more weeks. And I'm upgrading my ignition as well, plus a few other things... I never knew owning a Porsche was going to cost me so much $$$!!!

Wow, you're spending quite a few dollars on it!

What does the Zender kit look like?

Let's not go off-topic about my car again.

Anyone interested?

Weekends: Sun 7/12
Sun 14/12
Sun 21/12

Adam can't make Saturdays. Pick a Sunday, and we can do this.

I'll be in it,

Although my car is looking very shabby at the moment, have removed the side running strip as I knew there was rust there, and now alot of it is in galvanizing paint, just so it doesn't get any worse between now and when it goes to the panel beaters.

Any of the days will do, will just plan my xmas shopping around it.

I'm getting my car back this week (Phil convinced me not to put the kit on - he reckons it's ugly... and he could be right!) - how about Sunday 7/12/03?

So far we have:

Me
Adam
Aussie

Any other takers? Come on guys. It's just one morning... I'm missing church for this.

I can't really make the 7th, but if everyone's meeting later in the day I might be able to meet up with you guys.

I would probably prefer afternoon also, if not its no big deal.

I agree with Phil and the kit, I usually prefer look of cars in their natural state. Is the Sporto working ok now?

The Sporto has been rebuild. Back to pristine condition. Phil's removed the air-con to fit the 964 electric spoiler... he tells me it would cost about $2000 to fit a front air-con condensor... I'm opting to leave air-con out for the moment...

Enough about my car... let's make it the 14th then. How is 14/12/03? Afternoon is fine with me...

Hi guys, I can do breakfast on the 14th - these runs are more fun with early (and I mean EARLY!) starts - quiet roads and P friendly conditions. I'll check StuartJ and Victor.

So are we back to early morning on the 14th Sunday?

Can I see a show of hands?

We possibly have:

Me
Adam
Maybe Aussie (though he prefers afternoon)

How early, Brett? Not as early as Victor's last run, please!

Yeah, early AM on the 14th is good for me. I'd better get cracking and chuck a new set of pads in my 911 before the run tho...

What is the intended route? I think the Healesville etc route that we took last time sounds pretty good, although we should meet in the city or somewhere more central to everyone.

I'll dig up Paul W's email address and let him know, too.

Oops, except we had breakfast in Healesville and then powered on to Marysville and Warburton for lunch, didn't we? Those 70+kms between Marysville & Warburton were amazing, weren't they guys?

Erwin's probably got a route planned out anyhow.

No, I haven't planned a route. Inland sounds great. Or even along the coast. Whatever suits people.

I'm hoping my car would be ready by then actually. I've convinced Phil to put the kit on, so it may take another 2 weeks of tinkering for him. He hates it, but I like it.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for letting me know. I will try to make it if you let me know time and place. With a five months old baby I have to be extra nice to the wife. I don't suppose anyone know how to fit a child seat in a 944?

Kenneth
