Doing a beta run on Saturday (06/05) if anyone is interested in joining us. Still checking a couple of the roads, but down to the Columbia and back up via the Yakima is the general course. Lots of twisty roads and a long day.

If your taking the route just east of Mt. St. Helens be sure to make the detour up to the mountain (if you haven't already seen that side). Simply stunning. Also, when driving on the north side of the Columbia heading east towards the Hwy to Yakima (97 I think) there is a "short cut" up a river valley that is well worth it. Very little traffic and lots of great third gear river canyon sweepers. Highly recommended. I'm going to do my best to make the run with you guys.

Okay, so who is in? We need confirmations. So far it is Dane, Paul and myself. Dane and I are meeting at 8:00 at the Issaquah/Hobart road and highway 18 intersection, then meeting Paul at highway 18 and Greenriver Road at 8:30. Anyone else interested, please let us know ASAP.

Well, it looks like the wife wants to go camping that weekend at a friends on the Cowlitz River. I hate camping now that I don't drink anymore, so I guess I better go for a drive.
Rain or shine??? Maybe you can fill me in on the hill climb Dane.

This hillclimb outside of Oakridge is quite an event. I know a woman who uses her Camaro (new, V6, eek) and has a blast. Its only about an hour from my house. Alas, I have no helmet, couldn't fit in my car with one anyway (ran out of money to drop the seats and buy the helmet) so I won't participate. But, I aspire to!

OK, QBAMR is only 1day and 1 week away! New tires are on, new batteries in the head sets and looking for the 2 way radios. Sunny this weekend (gotta clean out the car) and the forcast is decent for next weekend!
Then we head to Oregon the following weekend. Troy are you going to the hill climb this year? cheers, Dane Anyone coming besides Dr. Mark Wilson, Paul "Weissach" Schrup and "the death dealer", Scooter? |

Dane,
Since a fellow Pelican is coming all the way down here, maybe I should make a little effort to show up in Oakridge to say hi. If you see a mid-year silver 911 with a rorty exhaust, that's probably me! Word of warning, be careful on Hwy 58. It is heavily patrolled! There a lot of blind corners where troopers sit. Beware.
