112 views and not ONE comment....??

I was at least expecting a "I'll give ya 2500.00 for it" or "I'll have some of whatever it is you're smoking"

Oh Well,,,,

It would make a very pretty track car.....I could swap the 15" Fuchs off of my other car....I'll thow in a manual rack and the intermediate shaft to convert it to "real" manual steering.

I can work on a cheap one way ticket for you to pick it up....

Consider this my way of bumping it back up

James,
Comments as of late have been less tolerated...and for good reason, but since you asked. $4500 is crazy money for a car that needs detail work, has knock-off wheels and doesn't have the PS hooked up (yes, I did see your offer to throw in the manual rack). Not to mention, the clutch will have to be done at some point in the future...the job alone could cost as much as you are asking right now. I can see that you have $7000 in the car and want to get some of that cash back out. At this point I think you are WAY better off just keeping the car unless you want in the $2500-3000 range...

People just aren't beating down the doors for a pre 86 944. Most people want the upgrades made in 86 (or is it late 85?) Anyway looks like a $2500 car to me.

Kurt, you're referring to the 1985.5 model upgrade. Believe it or not, there's a small following for early 944s out there, but maybe the aftermarket mods on this one aren't helping.........or the price.

James, for what its worth, that car has a stellar interior. I love the seats!

Thank you for the comments.

I read the "sticky" and I do remember in the past people getting grilled about their car on here. So, I understand.

A couple of items.

The clutch, water pump and belts were done by the PO about 2 1/2 years ago, about 4K miles.

The rims are "take offs" not "knock offs". They were removed from a Boxster and purchased from Don Rosen Porsche in PA. The car had some bad looking cookie cutters on if before. Do you think I could get more interest by putting 15" Fuchs on it instead?

I know I'm going to lose money on this car, the question is how much?

I have an offer for 3K right now, perhaps that is all she's worth..

I can't keep her, I have another one and we are going to be moving in Jan and just don't have room.

But, again, thank you for the comments, I need some objective views on what's what with getting rid of her (to a good home..of course)

Yes, the interior does look nice...But you have to keep in mind that by putting it for sale here...Most of the members already have a 944...I think you could get a higher price listing it for sale locally...I like the rims and the fact the upkeep is pretty good...
Good luck/skill!

FWIW your car looks nicer than mine and the few times I have put it on the market I have not got too much intrest when asking around $3K.

I like the wheels and a very nice looking interior... your biggest problem IMHO is time of year, any chance you can hold out untill after the holidays?

This just confirms my thoughs that I MUST sell my 944 before upgrading (see my sig)

Some 944 owners consider manual steering an upgrade... likely the same ones who like early 944s... it's a small market, but there is a market for a car like yours it just might take awhile to find a fellow 944 nut who will appreciate your car.

Good luck

If my bike sells before your car does I will take it for $3000. Although it is hard to sell a bike in the winter.

Sorry, car is gone.

Traded for a boat.

Sad to see her go, but I still have the red one that is in better shape too. I was selling to buy a boat, just happened I found someone who wanted to trade.

Good luck selling the bike.
