No joke, a free 924S. This is no gimmic, just me wanting rid of my project car mess that I no longer have the time, energy, effort, or money to throw at it. Any poor souls who are more inclined to finish a project car, have more knowledge and resources to are welcome to have the car.
I bought the car 3 years ago as a project to build up for racing. I started with 2500 in parts from gt-racing.com (wide body 944 style fiberglass body on it), spend 2g to have the body attached professionally. There is a little bit more fiberglass work to do, but mostly touch up before priming and painting. I then ordered a set of Moda R6 18x8 wheels/tires and a couple of Curello XR sport seats for the car. Also included is new seals for the doors, and other parts of the car, a new carpet kit, and tons of stuff. Here's the catch, I started a engine rebuild, the engine is in great shape, need's new seals and rings only, but otherwise pistons look fab. The engine is fine and in my engine stand, but this means the car isn't driveable. It needs the front end lifted up and attached to roll the body and wheels thrown on, but would be easy to get onto a car hauler. I am just tired of looking at the project i threw so much at and can't see throwing more money into, I just want to give it to anyone who will pick it up and take it and the parts. I have the title and everything is fine (no wrecks, clear and all) and will sigh it over and give to parts to whomever would arrange to get it. It will make a nice project for someone who wants to throw 3-4k into it to finish it and have a spectacular car. I just want it gone before I have to move out of my rental house and want to find someone who is willing to dispose/fix and take/rid me of this project disaster. The car is in western North Carolina to give a better idea about locale. Thanks, John Frakes -Concerned overworked project car owner... Last edited by jfrakes; 02-03-2005 at 05:25 PM.. |
