FS: 1977 Factory 934 1/2

THIS 934 1/2 HAS BEEN SOLD!!!!

I am posting this add for a third party.
For sale is this factory built 1977 934.5

Chassis number 930 770 0957 was the 7th of 10 built by Porsche for the North American IMSA and Trans-Am Series.

0957 was purchased by Bob Hagestad and campaigned in 1977 with Hurley Hayward and won the Daytona Finale 250 at the end of the season. During 1978, Hagestad and Hayward only raced twice but took 2nd in both attempts. In 1979, the car was sold to Charles Mendez and converted to the 935 configuration. Mendez, Rutherford, Miller, Redman and Akin campaigned the car with a 2nd OA finish at the 12 hours of Sebring being the best finish. After the 1979 season, the car was restored to the original 934.5 configuration and sold at auction in Monterey.

Today, 0957 is privately owned, race ready, and available for purchase. $225,000.00

Current modifications include:
Relocated the intercooler radiators to the rear quarter panels forward of the rear wheels, and replaced the front bumper/air dam.
Modifed the turbo air intake location from below the engine to above.
Installed a larger turbocharger.
Installed new water pump for intercooler.

Spares include:
Original front and rear bumpers.
Original turbo air intake plenum.
Smaller turbo.
Spare set of BBS wheels and tires.

The price on this car may be going up soon.

The third party and I have learned of an original factory built '75 3.0 ltr RSR for sale at $345,000.00 and a sister car to 0957 (of the 10 built) is up for sale. Once we find out the price of the sister car, the price may increase on 0957.

Just curious as to what sister car you are refering too? I would be interested but I think the price is a bit high. If the sister car you are talking about Heimraths old car number 0958 that car has been fully restored and is also a Trans Am Series champion with a pretty stout history in T/A and IMSA ..plus it has been for sale for a long time and no takers...I just saw it a few weeks ago at the track in Vegas.
If the price is negotiable please let me know .

This car is still for sale.

Here's a link to a little history of the 10 factory cars.

Here is a picture of what the car looked like in '77 when Haywood won the Daytona Finale 250 with a 2 lap margin.

Things have changed a bit on the sale of this car.

The price is now $295,000.00 and spares are at extra cost.

This car is now legal for vintage racing in Europe and will become more valuable as time goes on. Also, seeing non-factory '76 RSR Turbos selling for $345,000.00 makes you think a bit.

So, new price is $295,000.00 firm.
