How to kill a Porsche 911

I'm not sure WHY he did it, but he did it. I wish he would have used my rusty 911 and given me that nice one....

Sad, very sad. I know some on this board that would kill for that car today. Some would even kill for that ducktail, which is probably one of those rare originals with a metal frame.

Backhanded compliments about its toughness though. Not bad for a 2200 pound 911

That kind of wanton destruction makes me sick. This link has been on the board a couple of times, and it turns my stomach. It's like the magazine Maxim (or stuff, I forget), which used to test high end sports equipment ($500 snowboards, etc.). After testing them, they'd think it was funny to give them a "chainsaw test". There are people working their asses off with no hope of affording these things, it's just arrogant to do something like break them for fun.

Sorry about the rant.

I would rather see one be destroyed in a display of excellent build quality rather than to a chevy front engine conversion. Any day of the week.

Its funny because you guys are up in arms about this 911 they probably bought for nothing and yet no one has said a thing about the 917 (replica or not) that was crashed in Le Mans.

I don't get it. Is this supposed to be entertaining? If you don't like 911's, that's fine. To each his own. Don't buy one. Tell anyone who asks that you don't think they have good interior ergonomics....whatever. You don't have to like them - that just leaves more of them for people who do.

I gotta tell you, I wish I knew who that Effing moron, self important, arrogant jackass was. Oh and because someone is just bound to say it...I'd have the same problem if they were doing that to a perfectly fine condition Toyota or Chevy or whatever. In what way is that entertaining?
