Looks like it has Clear Coat...
The Paint sure looks to have clear coat, But the color is Bahia Red...Atleast it looks like the other Bahia Red teeners I owned...either way shows well...
Also Bumpers May be Chrome underneath-Look to be painted over... Ron in Florida 863-221-8534

Added Info:
Some more Info I have found out/Made changes:
My dad and I did an inspection on the car before purchase, but he forget to add his findings!! First off: -He thinks the Area under Batt Tray is a new piece welded in, there is no evidence of Batt tray welds, which gives him this inclination... I have inspected and there are NO weld lines (Either it is original and the Batt tray was Carefully Removed or It was welded in and they did a DARN good Job!!) Only thing I saw was slight dimples in the metal, which looks like sandblasted metal painted over... Also-Paint has no Clear coat, becuase when I was waxing it clogged the Rag with Red oxidized paint, which eliminates the possibility of Clear coat... -I replaced the Dist cap today... -Also cleaned all FI Connections -Checked all Vacuum Lines and eliminated Vacuum Leak by retightening clamps on misc lines + Air Tubes to Plenum... -Cold Start Does not work, I found a plug in the line going into the Air Box, which was doing a minimal job...I have had the Cold Start problem before, so I took the easy fix and put a Bolt in the line followed by a clamp, and also a New line off the Air Box with bolt/clamp combo... After fixing Vacuum lines, I re-adjusted Idle Speed per the Idle Adjuct Screw...Car Idles Exc and Runs VERY Strong...only thing is now when the car warms up it idles at 15-1600 rpms, I will soon adjust the idle when the car is warm and hopefully clear up this issue... Other than these minor adjustments, I believe I listed accurately the 914s Present state... Please Email with Picture requests, as I have 90 some Frame, Int, Ext photos... Thanks for the Interest, Ron RonD922@cs.com 863-221-8534

More Tinkering Today...
Hello,
-I Checked out the Wheel Bearing and both Sides have Very Little Play-Wheel bearings Fine, Tires need to be balanced to eliminate slight shimmy Amove 70mph... -I Completely Bled the Brake system and added New Fluid-Very Stiff Pedal with NO SPONGY FEEL!! Brakes Work Excellent-Plenty of Pad left and Neither Front Nor Rear rotors have any grooves... -I Tightened the Alternator Belt-Just loose, adj. Alt on Slide bolt-11-12 Amps at Idle, 12-14 at Speed, ie. Alternator is Fine, Charging System is in Good Working Order!! While Under the Car I found the car had some Options I had not seen Right away: -Stainless Steel Brake Lines F + R -KYB Sport Gas Rear Shocks -New Bosch Startor Motor Installed Recently -Front and Rear Sway Bars -Good Suspension Bushing + Sway Bar Links -MoMo Steering Wheel - Not Under the Car, but I missed this!! I also checked for Oil leaks, Minimal leakage at the driver's side Valve cover, puts a penny sized spot on the Floor after 5 days in the Garage...Other than this the Underside of the Engine/Trans looks pretty clean... I also looked around for more rust and Found None...More undercarriage Pics Available and also Wheel Wells, Underside of Engine, etc... This is an Awesome Vehicle that Is good to go right now...I am probably going to Change the Oil, adj Valves and Put New SPark Plugs in on Sunday, but the Car is Good to Go as-it sits... Since there are no Issues with this 914 I will become more Serious about selling the Vehicle... Price $8000.00 OBO... I will be available to Show the Vehicle and it possibly will be at Porsche Fest in Orlando, FL May 27th (Provided I don't have to pay $120.00 for one Day of AutoX!!) Thanks for the Interest, Ron 863-221-8534 RonD922@cs.com

Depends on what part of Miami you live in...
I trek down to MIA once a month or so and it takes me about 4 hours from my door to North Beach... Just go straight up the Turnpike, West on 60 @ Yeehaw and Hop on US 98 north = 4 hours!! Give me a call if you want to come and take a look at my 914, Ron 863-221-8534
