Buttonwillow Race videos

Here are a few videos of the first 3 laps at Buttonwillow a couple of weeks ago. I was able to hang with the purple 914 for a several laps until I passed him under braking. He then passed me on the white flag lap however, I was able to pass him in traffic and took the overall win. 1st overall and 1st in class. I was able to get down to a 2:05.0. Not as fast as I wanted. I think I left some on the table. Maybe next time I can keep the right foot down longer.

Unfortunately for Frank in the Orange 914, he had a minor set back on lap 3. Otherwise I think he would have taken the whole thing.

Congratulations! Excellent driving from the looks of the video. You're definitely not leaving any "easy" time on the track. It looks like you must be doing a lot of shoulder and arm excercises to keep the back of your 911 behind you for the whole race. It looks like you're constantly chasing the back-end! Your engine sounds really strong and crisp too.

Definitely a great job getting the win.

Nice job @ Lost Hill...you definately had the better line over the top. What up w/ that 914...just before there he swung wide right and left. I know defending the line ...but come on...that was a little much. OTOH...if he's a guy you know and trust, makes the pass that much sweeter! I didn't see him in your mirror when you came out on the front straight, where'd he go?

Just awesome, Mark. I'm going to frame and hang up the time sheet with my name above Frank's.

I'll just happen to forget that he didn't finish
