He has been building this car for nearly 10 years, I think. Too bad he didn't finish it. I don't doubt that he has $50k in it, but I doubt that he will get $50k out of it. I read that Brumos spent over $100k rebuilding the #59 car, and they would be happy to build on for a customer at $150k. If I were him, I would finish it and take it to Barret Jackson next year. Cars like this always bring stupid money out there.

Yeah, it'll be a challenge to find a buyer willing to part with $50k for a project. Still, I sure would love a car like that but alas, my pockets are too shallow.

No more doubts... BTW, I don't think it was much of a challenge to have sold the car in 3 1/2 days and still have 3 other buyers waiting in line (which are not too happy at this point).
![]() SOLD! Pending receipt of final payment... PS: This only shows how undervalued Jon sold the project and how fortunate the new owner is. The most important thing to remember, Jon is happy and so is the buyer. What one would normaly refer to as the "Win-Win Situation". ![]() Last edited by ajserrano; 06-15-2005 at 04:53 PM.. |

Yeah, there is way more than $50k in value there. Anyone who has ever done one of these...not just a resto, but a correct period piece w/OEM and special made parts knows that there is $50k in time alone in this project.
Whoever bought it will be able to do a few tweaks and get it on the road and most importantly ENJOY IT! |
