86 944 For Sale PRICE NEGOTIABLE
$3700? Whats it worth I have to sell soon! Please feel free to take a test drive and make me an offer!
I was asking $4200 I see some crappy ones around home for $3000 and some nice ones for $5000. I figure its a decent middle of the road car. I would like to get what I have into it $3800 OBO. Possible trades?? 1986 Porsche 944 172,000 miles Good clutch, wear well within limits, should be a few years left Used Transaxle installed with 80,000 miles Real European front bumper with lights Manual steering rack installed Interior is in good condition, dash is not cracked. Seats are in very good condition. Good oil pressure 3bar at idle Recent Maintenance: New Water Pump New Timing Belt New Balance Shaft Belt New Front and rear brakes New Oxygen Sensor New Oil Pressure sender Recent paint. The rocker had some rust under the stone guard, (about the size of a quarter) it was completely stripped, sandblasted, corrected with fiberglass and new textured rock guard sprayed on. Items that could use some work: A/C needs to be recharged Oil pump seal leaks (I usually put in less than one quart every 3000 miles) Hazard switch is pushed in dash Interior needs a few trim pieces (seat trim cover, sunroof clip, shift boot) This car runs and drives excellent, I have used it as my daily driver for 6 months without any problems, I would drive this car anywhere. This car would make a good daily driver or a good base for a show and shine vehicle I originally bought this car to do a V8 conversion but I had too much fun with it to start. We are selling this car because we have a new baby and decided that my wife is going to stay home and we need to fund a new vehicle for her. It has been a great car and it is unfortunate that we have to sell it. You can see more pics here: http://community.webshots.com/user/marksurel email me at: marksurel@aol.com phone (248) 259-4964 The car is located near Detroit, MI Last edited by marks914; 10-31-2005 at 08:50 AM.. |

I might be interested in a trade, something that actually holds 4 people.

Mark,
I'm interested, but the distance is a bit of a barrier - I'm on the East Coast. I would either have to fly out and drive it back, or have it shipped ($$$) I have the perfect car for you as partial trade - The good: '99 Saab 9-5 se, black w/ tan leather interior 85,xxx miles, 190 hp 4 cyl turbo, auto, loaded. Recent major tune-up ($1k) Value= $8-10K before accident. ![]() That's the bad: Minor damage that ends up totaling the car due to the cost of parts - those damn Swedes! If you know a good body shop that could fix cheap with used parts, it may be worth it. If not, forget about it. You would also have to deal with a salvage title. I'm interested in your car either way. I really like the Euro bumper. What color is it? Looks light blue in the pics.

The car is a charcoal silver. I think the Saab is a nice car but I'm trying to limit my fixup projects. I would consider meeting half way. I have been using Uhaul auto transports to move cars around, they are a pretty good deal if you have a tow vehicle.

Ok, let me give it some thought. I have a few to look at in this area. If nothing pans out, I'll let you know. I'll need to have someone do a ppi in your area. Know of any Porsche mechanics there?
