What are the performance differences of the 944s motor vs the 944?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding was that they make ~30bhp more than base model in the upper range, with redline being around 6800 as opposed to 6200 on base model.

Geez, where were you last summer when I was looking for one of these? They're pretty rare and this is a nice color combo, not to mention the low miles. Bump for a very nice looking car.

I believe the 16 valves bumps the HP rating up to 190.

I like this car a lot but probably cannot sell my Audi A6 fast enough to get it. I will recommend it to a friend.
A few questions:
1. How many owners, and how long have you had it?
2. Extent of service records available?
3. Reason for sale?
4. Your rating of paint, body, interior, electrics, mechanics (1 to 10; 10 being mint).

Thanks, luis g.

190hp is correct.

1. I'm the 3rd or 4th owner I"ll have to double check, I have a clean carfax. It's been a denver car it's whole life.
2. I have the records for the T belt change 5k ago, and the stuff i've done mentioned above.
3. It was more of a impulse buy than anything. I've only owned it a month, 4 cars two of them porsche's is one car to many for me and my family right now.
4. I would rate the cosmetics as a 8, maybe a 7, not a show car, but i'm the very picky concour type. The dash is cracked, you can see in the pics, the front spoiler is cracked, but can be repaired cheap enough, and one tear in the leatherate side bolster, I have a quote from a upholstry shop for 130. couple of small door dings that could be removed by paintless ding removal.
5. electrics, only the sunroof does not work. can still be removed manually
6. Mechanic's are sound, has small powersteering leak, (ball joint ok) and a small coolant leak, them waterpump tested ok under pressure test, but suspect seal. I welcome a PPI.

Thanks
mike.

It looks like a really nice car.

I just hope you don't take extra measure to pamper the engine - if you're getting the car for the extra power out of the S engine, you need to rev it high and often. Otherwise the torque at around town engine speeds is about equal to an NA. Don't let it scare you away, though...if you like winding it out, the 4 valvers or turbos make better engines.
