Canyon Run Pics

I went for a little run today and managed to pull over and snap a few pictures.

30.00 For fuel
2.25 For a bottle of oil

Breaking the silence of nature with a roaring flat six = PRICELESS

Thanks.

Fronts are 205's on 16x6's
Rears are 225's on 16x7's

I'm hoping to one day replace the rears with 16x9's and move the 16x7's to the front.

That stretch you parked on is one of my favorite. I dare say I know exactly which turn that is just uphill from your car. Those sweepers are so much fun.

I haven't driven it though since it reopened last year. How's the pavement condition now?

Looks like you had fun today.

On another note...WOW, your car is LOW! Do you have raised spindles on your front struts? How's your bump steer?

That body kit is screaming for a set of H4s and wider fuchs, or even spacers to fill out the flares while you search.

When I was living in Cali I used to always take those roads up to Willows to watch the POC, VARA and HSR guys run. Lake Hughes Road is great too, with that incredible "look-across-the-void-back-at-where-you-came-from" vista near the top. Spectacular.

A bit off topic, but when I ran Bouquet last, halfway along I passed two opposing driveways. It was around election time, and one gate had a "blue" flag and the other a "red" flag. I thought that was pretty funny at the time, and a great little expression of America.

They only ended up patching small sections so it’s pretty much the same as always. The connecting San Francisquito it very nice since they ended up repaving and widening large sections.

Yes my car is low but probably not as low as it looks. The body kit just hangs down allot lower then most stock body parts do. The car right now is sitting at (fender lip arches) 24.5" in the front and 24" in the rear. The bump steer is not as bad as it was originally after lowering it since I have installed the bump steer kit spacers which helped. I'm still using stock spindles.

That’s what I keep telling my financial manager (wife) but still have not been given a green light to proceed.

Simon,

Buy now, explain later. It works for me all the time. I gotta get back up there and run those roads with you.

Simon, how are the cops? I've not been out your way yet and would like a "tour" (only if you have a radar detector). There's a lot of stuff coming up, but I'd like to try some fast roads instead of the Malibu stuff.

You want some company?

Lets put something together soon- a mid march (march madness?) run- if guys are interested ill (or simon or . . .) put something together and we can do lunch etc or . . .

re cops: not so bad- last time out we saw two cops- both sitting on the side of the road and saw us blatently hitting it above the legal 35 ish but let it slide as we weren't being crazy- anyway, you never know-

I noticed that your wiperblade arms have a significant bow to them. Where did you get those. Also I noticed your center reflector isn't stock, does it light up?

Normally I love H4s (installed mine today).
However, your car looks great with H1s (and great in general!)

my post here isn't contributing much but just wanted to say to Noah, cool pic, cool car- man, i never though id like 911's when i was little, especially red ones- now, i frickin love them and dont want to drive or look at anything else (who here does?)
- so cool and classic- i love my blk though red is just pure and somehow seems correct- party on.
