944 belt tension tool
Hey yall, I thought I would offer the use of my personal belt tensioning tool if anyone needs to do a belt job. I started working on a lot of local Porsches about 10 years back and decided to buy one of these salty little beasts. Just let me know, I can mail it out to whomever (U.S. only please). A couple of $ added to the case when it returns is appreciated for shipping. I figured there is always so much good info on here I would do my best to "help out" Laters, Nick

I sure could use it for a couple of days starting April 10, I could have it back in the mail to you on April 13 or 14. I live in Texas. Let me know if this sounds good to you. If it does I can give you my phone number by e-mail and we can discuss everything over the phone.

How totally selfless of you. I would like to get next in line after mscomer to use your tool. I'll gladly wrap in it some greenbacks upon its return voyage. I've been postponing my belt job hoping someone would make a public offering.

I would never use that as an April fools joke! Not a problem guys, you can drop me a line at: vpjr1974@hotmail.com. I will put you two at the top of the list. Just email me a shipping address and I will mail it out as quickly as possible. It will arive in a Pelican hard case along with the calibration leaf spring. The only $ I ask is a little shipping re-embursement. Oh, Also.. I will put a paper in with it, to have you list your cars and the date you worked on it.. I thought it would be kinda fun to keep a list of where all it gets to!
My wife thought I was insane shipping a $500 tool around the states with no guarentee that I will get it back..... It lead to a long discussion with her about the courtious people that not only drive Porsches, but especially those of us who wrench them ourselves! On that note please make sure you use insurance when shipping it back to me. The last thing I need is a long "I told you so" from her ![]() I will be awaiting your emails.. -Nick 55 Ford Fairlane 69 Triumph Spitfire MK III 74 VPJ Indy Car 82 DeLorean (lost in divorce) 83 944 85/1 944 87 924S (wrecked @ Speedway) 95 Ford Mustang |
