not sure if you're all aware of this, i've found it useful and pretty accurate;
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/index.jsp Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 is supposedly the current best all-around street tire for the pnw.

Just ordered a set....
... of Eagles, so I'll let you know. I managed to get four of these, installed and out the door at $845 at Discount Tires in Everett (Evergreen Way). Pretty good price, I think. They wil match or beat TireRack and you save on the shipping.
Good tire on paper. I plan on pushing 'em, so we'll see. Will report back later with some impressions. Once the rain lets up, that is.....

I don't know if they are or not, butt, I have them on my '83, and I do like 'em. Especially in the wet. They are a softer tire, and wear a little faster than some. I think that makes 'em a little stickier in the corners too, not that I ever really find out much, mind ya.
The tires on my '85/1 car are cheapie firestones, and thats not much of a tire to compare to. So I don't really know, I just likey 'em.

steve, the eagles are supposed to be superior in the wet as well, so no need to wait for it to stop raining.
