Hotter than hell in Portland this past weekend - 108.9 at the track on Friday and ultra humid and 92 on Saturday. Took a few pics on Thursday - btw, they get better and much more interesting in the posts coming up later today and tomorrow -

No energy to go watch, but I could hear them from inside my home all day yesterday and into the night, glad that I like that kind of "noise". Some of the "folks" here in NoPo are getting pissie about that. There are more people at the tack partisipating than *****, the city brings in millions of bucks because of that track, compare it to SIR / Pacific Raceway or what ever the name of the track in Seattle is. We have built a great venue and the new comers to the neighborhood want to kill it. Go figure?
Two years ago Paul Allen wanted to turn our home grown race track into an outdoors music venue. Something to make him more money and screw up something that we have worked hard at building for almost 50 years. We sent him packing, wish he would sell the Blazers and get out of our town! Seattle raised, him they sould keep him! IMHO over at the city zoo. Happy to hear that you fellas had a good trip and watched some great racin' here in the Pacific Northwest. I hate to say it but I a not happy with the RS Spyders as of late.. the cars are weak.. they break far to easy!!
It won't be long now before they pull out  just kidding but it wouldn't be a shock to me if they did if they can't win... I hope they soret the car out soon.. so it can start to win, maybe next year after a winter of testing.... and making it tougher.

Great pictures. I watched it on tv today, glad/suprised they were broadcasting it on CBS/ABC whatever it was.
Those Dyson cars are beautiful, awesome design. Love the shot of the RS nosecone, that carbon work is intense. Got to watch the replay of the Ferrari off-track excursion, that was pretty awesome. That sucker caught some air!

Yup...hot as hell in NW Oregon. My g/f and I did a winery tour around Newburg on Saturday then hauled ass to the coast where it was 30 degrees cooler. Otherwise I would have loved to have seen the ALMS. But I have to admit that the ocean waves were a welcome site compared to the heatwaves coming off the hiway asphalt!

Klein Tools Pit crew competition - winning team received $10,000.
Friend is on the Alex Job Porsche team...he was pretty happy! I was very lucky - I was able to always be on track with the IMSA/pit crew/TV guys

Great pics Craig!! Thanks for sharing. Saw the race on the tube, liked seeing the Ferarri go airborne. I never get tired of watching Porsche GT2 cars on the track though.

Porsche pit area. They were super secretive about the engine/trans join area - it was ALWAYS covered. It was one guy's job to keep it covered up at all times!
