I can't believe it....don't want to
I used to drag Dad to every meet around Vic when Brockie and Harvey were racing in the Marlboro SLR5000s (and before that the XU1's)... The King of the Mountain is gone.... Another night of tears at home - how devastating to lose 2 icons in one week. |

We have lost a real gentleman, he would sit outside the tent or garage and sign things for fans for ages before a race.
Even though I was a Ford fan as a youngster there was always the highest admiration for this Champion. R.I.P. Peter Brock, you WILL be missed by many. And condolences to his family.

There are people who have to work to drive.
Then there are those who feel the road as if it were beneath their own feet. I am sorry to hear of the news. A void has been left.

I did a search on eBay for "Brock"
I saw an unsigned poster for a shed company that Brocky was endorsing go for $222.50. And yesterday a signed 1:18 model of one of the race winning HDT cars was up to $1550. Some items with a 1 day listing, cashing in? possibly by that's life I suppose.

I think the Andrew Denton show is cursed.
Rene Rivkin Don Chip Steve Erwin Peter Brock All main guests in the past year. You would never think it was going to happen now he was almost retired from racing. And who would have thought a stingray of all animals would kill steve. Chances of getting stuck by lightening are far greater.

It puts mortality in perspective, doesn't it?
We're here for a good time, not a long time. I suspect they had a good time...

A big big loss, and a man who has given many car enthusiasts some wonderful memories.
It puts things in perspective doesn't it? Enjoy your cars whilst you are above ground.........You're a long time dead.

Looks like there will be a gathering at Mt Panorama on the Saturday morning before the race as a tribute.
