WTB > Rubber-Seal Rail-Guide spot welded on...

I NEED YOUR HELP!

I am trying to source the "BENT" rail-guide runner for the rubber-seal at the rear of the engine bay. This rail gets spot-welded on the cross-member between the shock-towers. See photos below;

The rail-guide spot welded to the part I have is too far gone to try and restore and I much rather source a new replacement.

I'm in the process of restoring this part to be as good as new and ready for installation.

You can follow the restoration progress by going here http://www.pbase.com/slidevalve911rsr/myrsr_body_parts_rsr_rear_shock_tower_cross-member_coilovers

By the way, this is the rear cross-member used by the 74' RSR (using coil-over rear suspension).

One last comment...
The rail-guides that are available "straight", those CAN NOT be bend accurately enough and I would consider purchasing the entire "CROSSMEMBER" piece in hopes to cannibalize from it the pieces I need.

I can be reached via email at ajserrano@msn.com

Thank you all in advance for your leads and information

Armando - I've got it. It comes straight as-new though, you'll need to bend. How's $30?? Shoot me a PM.

PHOTOS CORRUPTED IN FIRST POST...

HERE ARE THE PHOTOS THAT WERE DELETED FROM THE FIRST POST. SORRY...

IMPORTANT!

If by chance you have the entire cross-member, please note that it needs to be cut with extra material on the sides so it has complete flanges.

The extra material on the sides is needed to insure that we can restore the badly cut ends.

THANK YOU!

Sorry, I just followed the link you posted and proceeded to send the Seller a PM not realizing it was you, the actual Seller of the cross-member.

I suppose you can call that a 'Senior-Moment'...
