Stumped!
Are these nuts holding the bolt onto the exhaust manifold/crossover pipe housing, or are they physically part of the housing itself?
If they are nuts, I can't get them to budge, even with my impact wrench... if they are part of the housing, I'm at even more of a loss because I can't imagine for the life of me how someone would be able to get a wrench of any kind onto the tops of the bolts on this assembly...

I seem to recall that one side of the crossover pipe had either studs or welded-on bolts.
Get yourself a flexible-neck ratcheting wrench and try the other side.

At least on the cars i've seen they are always nuts. Looks like you've already got penetrating oil on them- or maybe thats motor oil? I use Kroil penetrating oil which works like a charm on rusty stuff. I have to get an impact gun on the nut with 4-6" wobble extension and a wrench on the bolt head to break some of them loose though.

i tried for hours to get them loose and not a single one would budge. Liquid wrench, ratchet extensions, impact wrenches, nothing would work. I think I will bring it to a shop at least just to get the bolts loose...

S'OK! The best out there. Green aerosol can w/ a shamrock on it, IIRC.
Hard to find though. Found. http://www.shamrockspecialties.net/products.htm No affiliation, just satisfied.

You may have to get a nut cutter. Small one I would think as there is little room at that location.
An air grinder might reach most of them. Either a drum bit or a cut off wheel.

Ended up just getting a small air grinder/cutter in there and digging away till they came loose.

RE: impact wrench
- what was the tank outlet pressure (turn up to max) - what was the impact wrench setting (turn up to max) - has the wrench been oiled lately (betcha can't remember when) I did the shocks on my wife's car recently and I couldn't get the strut to steering knuckle bolts to budge (BMW E34). Once I addressed the above three items, the bolts came right out.

Maybe there isn't any thing wrong with the nuts, but the problem is your girlie arms. I've helped a couple people that had buggy whips for arms get the same bolts loose before. Just a thought.
