That's right gang, the time for this years Dragon meet has been officially slated for Nov. 9th. - 11th.
Much like last year, we'll be based out of Fontana Village. Currently, no deal has been struck yet regarding room rates. However, I expect the same 15% break we received last year.

I heard they were pulling folks over for 1 mph over the limit. You might want to scout it out before hand. Good luck.

Procon and I took a ride out there 3 weeks ago. There was a strong police presence there, we were not harassed but we also drive the speed limit. BTW- They dropped the limit from 35 to 30 on the Tenn. side.

We have other roads scoped out, one is at the south end of 129 near the Nantahala National Forest, the roads were a lot like 129 except they were empty (in the middle of a weekend day in the summer) and there were no side roads.

While I suggest anyone who has never driven the Tail of the Dragon to go out and drive it, I would suggest also to go seek out other roads on the North Carolina side to have a good time on. We have found many.
