Help, 2004 Touareg OBD port not connecting

It used to work, and have not installed any accessories and it has the factory radio.
The car starts and runs, and a few warning messages coem up on the display.
The MIL is not on. Battery has recently died, so probably lost all the old codes, as it was on when teh car was parked a few months ago.
I put in on a charger and did not jump start it.

With that out of the way:
I have checked a bunch of fuses, and even double checked the DLC fuse.
I have checked the connector for a bad pin or obvious bad wiring.

Anyone have any ideas?
