You read that right. The McLaren 720S is one of the quickest supercars you can buy, with putting down 1/4 mile time in less than 10 seconds. You get this straight from the factory, but even with a few bolt on upgrades... it's an absolute animal and shaves off a few seconds. That being said, it still has no chance against the Volkswagen ID.R. I mean, after all, it is a purchase-built all-electric time-attack race car. Watch Chris Harris pilot it below leaving the McLaren in the dust.

Clearly, this must be an end for petrol cars... right?
