ran out of threads on valve adjustment studs

q? can i buy longer valve adjustment screws? because i seem to have my 1432 right and i start on the compression stroke at number 1 then 180 out clockwise at 4 and so on but on one or two im out of room on my screw!! can anyone tell me how to fix this or what would cause this? things worked great but i had a hole in one of my pushrod tubes, and now that im trying to readjust the vales im out of room on a couple, i remember i was running close on the last adjustment please help!! would bent valves cause the adjustment screws tobe an eight of an inch shy or is this something that happens? thanks
