Audi A3 2006 3.2L
Hi All,
I just bought an 06 Subaru Impreza outback sport and find out a week later my back hurts after a 30 minute drive in those hard narrow sport seats. I am considering a 2006 A3 3.2l S line. Does anyone have input about the comfort, reliability and value of this car? Thanks Mully |

I drove one at a track day a while ago - sweet car! It had the 'sports seats' but I thought they had a great feel to it. The 6 cylinder has been around for a while and is a nice engine - The DSG transmission is awesome, I really like that. Fuel economy isn't the greatest, but it isn't that great on the subi either.

Thanks ETarga,
I have not had a chance to drive one yet. So it sounds like it was fun on the track! I have stock 85 911 that I have had on the track and that was Awesome fun! Do you remember if the seat side bolsters were narrow...and or would bother your hip or leg at all on a long trip? The subi has narrow bolsters that have metal bars inside that do not give at all if your hip or leg is touching them...it hurts ![]() thanks Mully |

A3 is nice, A4 is nicer... Audi has won several awards in europe for its seats in relation to back health... I've had 3 of them and quite happy with them in general. The A3 is based off the Golf, which isn't bad, but the A4 is better.

Thanks for your input! I like the A3 for the hatch back. I need to carry coolers and a ceramic smoker in the back for camping trips. I live in Cleveland in the snow belt where we get lots of snow, so I want AWD too.
