1995 E46 oil pan
Is there a trick to getting the oil pan off of the car? I have removed all the bolts and have had some movement, particularly on the passenger side but the drivers side seems stuck. I am not sure if it is just adhesed but I do NOT seen any more bolts. On the passenger side, I get separation of the pan and can pry on it but the driver side is stuck.
Ill take any advice for sure Thanks C |

Well if it's a 1995 then it's an E36 technically. You should be able to just loosen all the bolts and shimmy it out past the subframe. Take a look at an image of an oil pan online and count the number of bolt holes vs how many you have removed.
Also just to consider, sometimes the oil filter housing can leak and drip down onto the oil pan which can lead to a misdiagnosis! Best of luck! |
