Hello everyone.
I do have the Bentley Manual but it is severely lacking in data about the evaporate control system. Where do the hoses run and where are the relevant parts?
If anyone else has fought this battle, do you have a list of high probability items to check first.

I've had that code a couple of times. Each time it was after filling up in the early morning. Each time it went away after about a day.

If it goes away in a couple of days, ignore it.

If it persists, clear it and see how long it takes to come back.

The hoses run from the tank, into the trunk and into a box under the spare tire.
