Replace 74 Fuel pump with 73 style pump

Ok so I just picked up another 914 today. This one has stock fuel injection. The fuel pump was bad so the previous owner removed it and bought a new fuel pump but the wrong year. The original pump had three outlets (S, R and D). All the lines are still intact. The fuel pump I have has one inlet and one outlet. I have wired the pump temporarily with spade connectors to the stock pump plug and it turns on with the ignition.
My question is can I use this pump temporarily just to see if the car runs, its a fuel injection pump but only has one outlet and one inlet. I basically am just going to attach the supply line to the pump and block off the other two temporally. Will this cause any issues, is there an alternate way of hooking this pump up?

Thanks
