Is it right and seemly that one has to fumble in one's Lycra for a firearm? There may be ladies present and while you gallantly seek to protect them from assailants unknown, the prospect of pulling the wrong weapon may prove embarrassing.
While previously pedalling in the old Garden State I preferred to discreetly sport a more traditional long gun. Perfect for short range work and elegant to boot.
Admittedly one would need to engage aforementioned assailant in conversation while assembling one's piece but the sight of such hardware may prove that prevention is better than terminal cure.
Likewise rather than pack a cold barking iron alongside one's sausage my alternative can be strapped to one's velocette in a range of tooled scabbards, holsters or violin cases.
