WTB 930S STEERING WHEEL 4 spoke with crest
Looking for a 930S "DARK BLUE" 4 spoke steering wheel with inlaid crest (as per sample photo). Will consider any colour or just the horn pad without the wheel.

Steering wheel
Yes, factory made, not 100% but I think they came as standard on late 80's slantnose's and also available as an option.

Yes, they came on many of the M505 optioned factory slantnose cars.

Do you have the blue wheel already? If you do you may be able to find the pad and have it color matched. Good luck and let us know what you find.

PM a member named Kilodawg. He knows a lot about these cars and may have a few sources for you to check out.

I've been looking at this thread with interest to see if anyone would speak up as having one for sale. I expect it to be a needle in a haystack search. Not only were these wheels rare but any original slantnose owner who has one would likely not part with it even if it wasn't currently on the car. It's one of the few internal cues on the M505 cars that signal authenticity.
I would think the only chances are from people who swapped out their wheels and sold their cars years ago and somehow held on to the original wheel. The other thing I would try is contacting the Porsche Classic department in Stuttgart directly to see if they can be of help. I used to have the number and can track it down again quickly if you want to try that route. Oh and if you find one grab any color you can. You can always have it dyed. That should be the least of the challenges.

Also, agree you likely just need to find the pad. Here's a picture of mine in mahogany.

Steering Wheel
Thanks for all the responses/info guys.
Looks like i will need to consider any colour and/or just finding the horn pad. A black one sold on the forum a few days ago, looks like I was being a bit optimistic thinking I could easily find one in blue! |

My original 505 car just had the plain steering wheel.

Did it have the plain wheel when purchased new or did you acquire the car from a previous owner?

Those steering wheels came on the '88 and '89 factory slantnose cars not '87.

I have a black one of these that I picked up a while back and would consider selling. I probably paid too much but I don't know what the going rate is - opinions? This one is black with the offset Porsche crest.
