I was one of them but bailed out in March (when they were promised to ship) after they said it'd be another 6+ weeks. I know they'll get it dialed-in but they're kinda screwing the pooch. I've used their 15 and 16s on a few cars and they're damn fine wheels.

I'm friends w/ Paul E there on FB... he posted earlier this week he's having some health issues (and this is after a hip replacement a couplafew weeks ago).

Could be causing / contributing to the delay?

FRANK, why you pitchin yer Lindsay's in favor of these? I'm not sure I like their flatter looking more angular spokes... dunno. Just querious...

I'm one of the other 9, and will be happy to get the wheels when they arrive. If anyone wants a sneak pic, here are a couple of shots of the rear prototype on my car. We used my car (87) and a buddy's 77 to get the ball rolling on offsets, etc.

Just saw Paul this weekend, he is recovering. Wouldn't think the delay is on him, it's at the factory from what I understand. The original scope was to make these in a limited set of offsets and widths, but the program now involves a much greater spread, making fitments available for narrow body cars, as well as lighter TL cars that may not want to run 11" rears. No doubt that set things back a bit time-wise, I'm sure.

He is really frustrated about the delay also, as he does not like to disappoint those who took a chance and went first-in-line, or any of his future clients, for that matter.

Either way, the wheels are really nice, just as their 15 and 16 inchers are. In my opinion, a much better alternative than cutting up 6's and welding barrels, and more economical than the three-piece alternatives. Can't wait to run these at the track.

Basing my opinion on having seen the first one on my car, plus a bunch of local cars with 15's, those who wait will be receiving a very nice set of wheels.

Trying to remember off the top of my head, mine are going to be 11.5" rears with a 4mm offset if I recall. Front is a 9", with the same offset as what a 9 would have if mounted on the rear axle. Kinda like cup 1 replicas. I can check. The braid on the rear in my photos is an 11, my current CCW Classic is an 11.5.

Hello,

I am thinking to replace my Ruf Denloc Wheels
against Braid, but what width und offset should I take?
Does anyone have experience with Braid wheels on a 930?
Or maybe photos?
What size is that wheel on the photo, 11x16 ET 4?

thx in advance

Haisch,
Are you running race tires? There are no 275-315 street tires I’m aware of in 16’s.

No street tire.
I saw a tire from Kumho in 265/45/16.

I think that tire has been discontinued. Also looks like the tire measures 10.5" wide.

Yes, I already talked to Braid.
They recommend a 10x16 and 8x16.
Does anyone have photos in this dimension?

When going wider I had to give up on 16” wheels and went to 17”.
And you only get two or three choices with 17”.
Even the sizes I liked to run on the stock wheels is discontinued. I think you’re stuck with tall sidewall ratios now.
