Cis/ intercooler pictures needed
Hello
Thanks to all for helping me so far my I'm installing a I/c on my 76 turbo.. I have more questions with the conversation .. my andile I/c has many take offs what's the purpose of the long 1/4 one that drops down by the distributor and the turbo outlet for ? . I'm assuming most of these are extra vacuum ports ? And I can plug them. I would love if someone had a line diagram on what is reused and what goes where for the early long neck conversations. Also when looking at your motor from the rear the right rear back corner of the cis what support it? ...looks like I never took a picture ... Can't seem to find any thing that looks like it goes there other than what I'm holding in the picture but it doesn't fit. I assumed it was a bracket similar to the 911s but i can't find anything in the parts I removed . see pictures picture also what is the red thing with the rubber cover and the spring for? I'm pretty sure I don't need it for this as it cam from the parts I have for a later car thanks Regards Ned http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1586865940.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1586866113.jpg |
Ned, the small hose port on the left side of the I/C is for wastegate activation, the strut rod you are holding is for the A/C bracket and attaches to the chain housing stud near the oil temp/press. sending units. the orange one with spring is the boost press.sending unit for the gauge in the tach.

can anyone tell me the part # for the air sensor plate back stop the thing shown in my picture with the white glue on it ( as you can see i need a new one ).. i just spent over an hour searching for a parts break down so i could speak a little more intelligently. about the fule system and associated parts . all i could find was the 911 exploded parts diagrams

The part # for the sensor plate stop is 911 110 961 00
The part # for the wedge shaped bracket is 930 110 133 00 All 78-94 turbos use the same sensor stop The wedge shaped bracket is the same for all 3.0,3.3,and 3.6 turbo motors 75-94 so your original 3.0 turbo CIS assy should have had that bracket unless it was missing from that unit to. Richard |
there is no bracket in the back of the fuel sensor. that bracket in your hand is and xtra support for the a/c compresser mounting bracket. oops, i guess someone already mentioned this
