016 fuel head injector line filters

I'm wrapping up a 1976 930 engine and am in the process of flow testing the 016 fuel head after rebuild. This head originally had these plastic "filters" underneath each banjo bolt. The replacement ones are actual filters. Should I reuse the original plastic pieces or install the new filters? Are these actually necessary? Each injector has it's own screen internally, I guess this would protect that screen. These get dropped into the head under the banjo bolt with the filter part pointing down, but from what I've seen they all end up stuck in the banjo bolt after the system is pressurized and flowed. Thanks.

Customer got it out of Australia, had the springs and hats. Can't find it now. I ended up using the original plastic filters, I did not like how the kit filters went up into the banjo bolts and partially blocked the discharge ports, don't know if it would be a problem or not but didn't want to find out.
