inside measurement of 16 inch FUCHS?

Hi All,

Ive been trying to get the smallest fuch possible over my aftermarket calipers and im not been able to find anything that works.

15 inch will absolutely not fit and 16 inch 3 piece fuchs will not fit as the studs to the 3 piece hit the calipers.

Im hoping a 16 inch fuch 1 piece will fit. I basically need at least 330mm of clearance on the inside of the rim. It probably needs to be at least 340mm diameter to be safe Can anyone let me know if there is a 16 inch fuch out there with this size?

I have read about model "951s" giving the best possible clearance.

many thanks in advance

Just following up to see if anyone has a 16 inch fuch floating round that they could measure the inside diameter at the widest point of? trying to squeeze over a clunky caliper!

thanks

I can pull one off the car this evening if nobody else has anything by then :).

The reason the 951 8 could work is it has more space for a wider caliper due to its hub spacing and "recessed" lug holes, not necessarily more space radially to fit your larger (taller) caliper.

Bill Verbung has to have that dimension squirrelled away in all of his wheel info database!

Racer, do you mean that my normal 930 Fuchs won’t be big enough for sure so there is no point me pulling a wheel? I haven’t been able to pull one yet as work has exploded on me but if still needed I can do it over the weekend.

I would bet all the 16" Fuchs have the same inside diameter. The OP mentioned the 951 Fuchs, but its inherent value lies in its hub design being slightly offset compared to the 911 Fuchs. but the barrel of the wheels (ie, inside diameter) should be the same, whether a 911 or 951 part number.

my 851 8x16 fuchs are about 13" or 330mm at the hub face. there is a significant soft bevel get smaller outboard of the hubface but also getting larger as it comes inboard.

my bbs e50s are nearly flat in section and dont deviate in comparisons

i didnt measure the insides of my 9x16 fuchs

If you have the fender, a spacer helps bring the step down of the inside of the wheel out further to clear the brake. You can use a spacer to keep the studs of your 3 piece from hitting as well.

The e50 15’s clear 930 brakes... just by microns. If you have the earlier thinner e50 centers you need a 5-6mm spacers to clear the mounting hub surface of the wheel for the rears without the thick factory spacers in place
