Alternator belt replacement interval

Hi ,

I had my 930 since 2008 , when I got it I replaced the belts , oil , flushed the brake fluids & change the gearbox oil . Motor oil and brake flushing is done yearly , Gearbox oil every other year . For the first time since 2008 my alternator belt snapped today . As a preventive maintenance how often do you replaced the alternator belt’s and Aircon drive belts ? Do you do it every 5 years ?

Thanks in advance & stay safe

V groove belts wont last as long as serpentine belts. Also little use of the car will decrease its life. Usually I replace any v groove belt as soon as I notice tiny cracks in its inner surface.

You are right Kamaro when my mech removed the belt it already had tiny cracks in the inner groove . I’m guilty of not driving the car often .
