Oil squirter

1. I was about ready to purchase new crankcase/piston squirters for my 930 efi 3.4 build. and I noticed from our host that they have an over size option. Should i get the over size or standard size?

2. I noticed my oil pump is a 964 oil pump, is there any difference between a 930 oil pump?
thanks in advance

For the squirters , remove them first and look at the condition of the hole. If the hole is good replace them with the nominal units.
There is a good thread on here somewhere, removal / replacement is relatively easy.

Also some aftermarket options available.

The stage sizes are slightly different between the 964 and the 930 oil pumps, but the 964 pump has bearings, so it's a wash. The shaft size is different, too. So I'd stick with the 964 pump.

Steve G covered the squirters. Also, if you weren't aware, 930 piston squirter orifice size is larger than standard 911 squirters.

Isn't it more typical to test the squirters first rather than just removing/replacing all of them?

To be fair, his question was " should i get oversize or standard size"
To which i responded "remove them first and look at the condition of the hole"

Super easy to remove.......but i agree that it shouldn't be done without testing first....that would be silly !!

when I removed mine they were a PITA. I had two the came apart and half was stuck in there. could not get it out.
I sent the case to the machine shop and let them do them.
