My first thought was to go with a strong dye like you said but again I have no experience. Maybe start with some place that won't be noticeable for a trial area.
Best of luck.

Just washed the seat and most of the dye washed out so I am thinking wrong dye was used so I am going to try one more thing an acid dye and see if that works

Nice... Pump gas? E-85? Any info on headers? Any head work? What power level are you looking for?

93 octane if E 85 becomes available I will set up for it stock euro headers no head work yet what I get will transfer to a 3.2 SS build at a future date so it may be overpowered for the time being but I want something that is ball bearing and less lag than the stock K 26 I have

Gt3582R. T4 twin scroll..

Do you have a 3.2 engine in your car?

Get some head work done (twin plug too) A nice set of headers. Quality intercooler. Beef up the bottom end. (cross drill the crank, upgrade the rods and bolts, drill case for the crank mod, and I like shuffle pinning.) Easy 500rwhp super reliable.

There are more modern versions of the gt3582r but they start to get expensive. I don't know what your overall goals are but for the price it's a great turbo and that's what I'm leaning to.

Waiting on some SEM upholstery paint none of the dyes I tried would stick to the threads of the seat although they stuck to everything else the dye came into contact with very strange. I sent Brian some messages and have got no response so I am not sure that is active option or not I am really wanting to consider the hooligan so I can keep the O2 sensor farther away from the turbo

I don’t I actually have a 2.7 as my test bed the 3.2 is planned for the near future like I said the turbo I get will be overpowered for what I have but will dump out of the blowoff and wastegate as I am limiting boost to .5 bar right now

Ahhh ok...

I think the problem won't be the turbo making too much and needing to bleed off excess exhaust through the wastegate.

It will be more along the lines of how much air your engine can move and at what rpm it's moving said air and how all of this correlates to the turbo's characteristics and how the car is driven.

Yes, you might be able to use a turbo that's a little too big and make a nice whp number on the dyno; but at at what rpm? Too large a turbo and the car is going to be a dog until the turbo starts to "come online" so to say.
