Fuel Distributor Pressure Regulator & High Control Pressure
Hello,
Having a heck of a time figuring out what my control pressure problem is and seeing if anyone has advice. My WUR's control pressure is almost equal to system pressure, which is about 5.5bar hot or cold. At first I thought it was the WUR or a tank return blockage. I've taken apart the WUR and it all looks good. So then with the car off, but pressure in the system, loosening the FD to tank return does not lower control pressure, but loosening the WUR to FD return line Does! So it makes sense that it has something to do with the FD's pressure regulator, right? Weird thing is I have a spare PR that I installed into the FD and I get the same readings. I also checked the FD return ports with the pressure regulator removed and everything seems clear. I'm a bit stumped. What am I missing here!? |

Welp... figured it out. Faulty gauge! The gauge hose was not passing fuel to the WUR, so it was just building up to system pressure. I figured that out after trying to start the car with the gauge inline. Wouldn't start at all, when usually it does. Threw a different test kit on there and I'm reading 3bar at cold. Still high, but at least I know it's working!
