fuel pumps on.

So my beast has developed a new issue since pulling the engine - twice in last couple of weeks. It used to be fine, but now the pumps are on with the key on - mostly. Sometimes not. It gets weirder. While checking the circuits I have found they are on with key on with the engine bay relay pulled. And even weirder, with the 14 pin plug OUT.
Which takes me to the frunk? I hadn't been in there while doing the engine out - other than battery disconnect.
So I can confirm the circuit from the pumps relay to the relay in engine compartment is complete. The o/boost circuit is complete (#7 pin at T14), the airplate circuit is complete (#8 pin at T14). Not that iot makes much difference because the pumps seem able to run without any of those things!!. WTF.
Thanks for any suggestions - my brain is fried with 930 stuff right now.
Alan

After sleeping on it I concluded the circuit between the FP relays and the relay on the regulator board (they are connected to each other) must be earthing somewhere.
Then I found I could make them on/off by wiggling wires near the regulator board. At the point the pumps were on, I could find an earth track from the 30 feed to the regulator relay. That is hard wired back to the FPs. So that will be the cause - just have to find the aberrant wire. (And sort my clutch - which is fighting me also).
Hoping for a day off soon :-)
Alan

Well, I have found it - sort of. Had to remove the intake manifold to get enough access, but it was in the loom that runs along the side of the engine bay to the 14 pin plug. Pulling that clear required removing some stuff - including FA etc.
I found one bit that 'may' have been the culprit. The problem has not come back.
The next one to strike me down was the TTS failed.
Not much left to fail now.
Regards
Alan
