Jut got off the phone with the machinist and we have pretty much finalized the plans for this engine and it will be bulletproof top people are working on the part Pauter and dockerty are doing cams and connecting rods/rocker arms the heads will go out in a month or so for twinplugging then come back for reassembly at Noland's then it is just small parts acquisition an final reassembly to a long block. Just need money LOL. One note is I had 11 head studs broken off in the case and he told me 3 are out and it looks good for the rest to come out fairly easy it is taking time because he had to move his shop and the holidays but i am not in any hurry just want it done right.

The tear down in progress the inside so far looks good after 15 years of running boost I suspect I spun a bearing so this 2.7 isn’t worth a rebuild so it will become a coffee table and the crank will be an end table

The cause of the failure has been found both intermediate shaft bearing were wiped down to the copper the mains and rod bearings were rough but still had babbit crank looked pretty good will make a nice end table.

All broke down the case is a mess and not worth a rebuild the crank and intermediate shaft bearing surfaces are scored. The only stuff maybe worth while are the con rods and the oil pump is rebuildable.

At this point might as well get some new rods anyway.

The heads are broke down gone for twin plug the cams and rockers have been sent to get refurb and new profile the crank is checked and polished and the case is getting worked to get the head studs out. I am getting the new parts bought as money allows.

Most of the parts for the short block are on the way. Using a GT3 oil pump reaming the oil squirters out 10 thousands, the turbo going back to Turbokraft for repairs and some performance upgrades to support the higher output engine getting things set for twin plugging. Will post pics as I get them.
