Engine harness replacement - 76 930

Hello everybody.
Is it possible to replace the engine harness on a 76 930 with the engine still in the car? I know it's a pain to route under the intake manifold.. I'm thinking it can be done with a partial engine drop and raise the intake manifold up to clear? Anybody ever accomplished this, or should I just pull the engine?

I'd just pull the engine. It's not that much work and in the end SOOOOO much easier.

Pulling the engine is easy even if you don't have special lifts or special tools.

You have to remove the air filter housing, intercooler, upper intake, CIS lines, lower intake, fan strap, and pull out alternator far enough to get to the alternator terminals.

All of that has to be done whether the engine is in or out. If you have the jacks, engine out is probably easier, but the last one I did was with the engine in.

Yeah, thats the verdict I was expecting. I mostly didn't want to do it on jackstands again. Just another reason to wrap my other car up so I can use the lift! Thanks for the input, everybody.
