Best place for E85 flex fuel sensor N/A 964
Hey everyone I am getting my car prepped to turbocharge it in the next year or so. I am wondering if anyone has experience with the flex fuel sensor. I would like to have all the parts ready before I install the sensor. I have a GM flex fuel sensor with the GM fuel quick disconnects. So I need to know what fittings I need on the Porsche side of the fuel line to make the hose from the quick disconnects to tho Porsche fuel line. If anyone has an answer for me on the fittings that I will need and where they put the sensor that would be great. I was thinking it might be easy to put it attached to the fuel filter. Any advice would be appreciated.

Perfect thank you for the picture. I have not had a chance to lift my car up an take the cover off. Just to confirm that is underneath the tank on the bottom side by the front sway bar. Is that correct?
Also since it is a return line is it just a regular low pressure rubber fuel line or is it a Porsche hose with crimped fittings. I really hate cutting apart Porsche oem parts. If it is does anyone know what the fittings are so I could make an adapter hose rather than cutting the line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

From my experience the stock size fuel lines just won't flow enough unless your doing a very conservative tune. I would up size the fuel lines to a -8an on the supply and a -6an on the return.

That’s really good to know. So replace steel lines as well?
How much do you think the stock fuel lines are good to? I plan on doing a very conservative tune as I still have stock compression ratio. In a year or two when I rebuild the engine with lower compression I will crank up the boost and need more fuel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Comes down to keeping your fuel pressure stable as demand increases. Add a fuel pressure sending unit and log it as you increase flow. Without upgrading your pumps, lines and injectors you really can't utilize the benefits.

![]() ![]() The 964 Fuel Lines/Hoses have M16 fittings throughout. More than adequate for whatever HP you have or want. The hoses are crimped, but low pressure going into the Tank. Can you post a photo of this GM Sensor, I would be interested in doing something w this for a fellow Pelican. Also, can you tell us the OD of the tube and possibly the cost? Thanks in advance. ![]() ![]() Looked up the Haltech Flex Fuel Sensor and it comes with AN-6 Male Fittings, so my Direct Connect AN-6 Hose fittings crimped to E-85 rated Metric Hose will fit without issue.... ![]() ![]() Len dot Cummings at verizon dot net ![]() |

Hi sorry I didn’t see this post until now. Attached is a photo of the sensor. It’s at my work so I cannot measure the OD of the connection tubes. It’s GM part number 13577429. I am pretty sure they are -6an fittings like the haltec sensor. I am running a mega squirt msx3 ecu. It looks like the hoses you showed would fit. Do those go on the return line to the tank? The 90 degree elbows look the same as the line on top of the fuel rail.

The sensor you're showing has the regular click-lock style fuel fittings for a plastic GM fuel hose. You'll have to actually purchase the -6AN adapters shown in the top of the post (very first photo by Lite75). They snap onto the sensor (you can see the little green squeeze tabs that lock it in place) and leave you with threaded -6AN ends.
